About the Brand
Luke Roper, the son of a gifted dressmaker mother and hardworking father, started life in Walsall Wood in the West Midlands. By 12 he discovered he had a talent for football and sewing machines; by 15 he was making one off shirts for his friends; soon he became a local legend, lads from all over the area ordering his unique designs and creations; then hitting the clubs of the wild West Midlands decked out in Luke’s original especially crafted pieces.
London called at 20; the top fashion university in the nation, St Martins, saw his skills and degree in menswear design. Here Luke developed his talents and developed a strategy with lifetime buddy Simon Poole; an idea to create the top menswear company in the United Kingdom was born. Luke paired up with Deborah Poole to launch the budding company and set off the adventure on graduation.
