Organic Primitivo

The organic primitivo you are about to eat comes from the Puglia area of the province of Taranto. What sets it apart from other wines are its strong and fruity smells—blackberries and currants, among other things. But its short refinement in French wood gives it traits of nutmeg, licorice, chocolate, and vanilla. The fact that it was polished on French oak accounts for these nuances. The wine’s delightfully low alcohol percentage combined with its fresh acidity produces a wine that is lively and balanced, with a finish that is both lengthy and energising.
