Allow us to take you back to the beginning of everything. Mark Avey is a legend because he is a one-man band with his garage as his headquarters. Initially intended to be a small, self-funded project, it quickly grew into something much larger.

With Alice (Mark’s wife) about to give birth to their second child and their bank account running low on cash.It was then that BadMondayUK was born. Weekends and evenings were devoted to keeping up with orders, and it became clear that this was no longer a weekend project in the garage. Jobs were lost, babies were born, warehouses were filled, and Bad Monday went from being a bedroom brand to becoming a full-fledged culture-led lifestyle brand in a short period of time.

It is critical to stay true to our roots, and tattoo culture has always been and will continue to be at the heart of the brand.

With a vision in mind, Mark set out to design clothing that had personality and challenged the popular perception of a dark and dingy tattoo culture. He wanted to give people the freedom of self-expression and to not be afraid of pushing boundaries.

Tattooing was created for the same reason; it is more than just ink on skin; it is a way for people to express themselves and create works of living art through their bodies. Our attitude toward life is lighthearted, and what started out as a simple line of graphic tees has quickly expanded to include the entire line of products we offer today, with more to come in the near future. After working with some incredible artists around the world, we want to celebrate different art forms and provide a platform to create an antidote to high-street fashion by creating an alternative to it.
